It\u2019s five times farther from the Sun than we are. A year on Jupiter is twelve times longer than ours, but a Jovian day is only ten hours long. Darting around it are dozens of moons \u2013 some with geysers, volcanoes, or ice. But it\u2019s so big that its enormous mass exerts tremendous inward pressure. The pressure squeezes the interior hydrogen so strongly that the gas turns into a liquid \u2013 a strange type of hydrogen that can even conduct electricity. As the warmer material deep inside rises, some of Jupiter\u2019s contents are partially mixed up in the process. Eventually, the heat is released into space. This magnetic field creates a huge bubble of electrically charged gas called the magnetosphere. The magnetosphere is so large that it would look as big as the moon if it were visible in the night sky.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u6728\u661f\u306e\u71b1\u3044\u5185\u90e8\u306e\u652a\u62cc\u904b\u52d5\u306f\u307e\u305f\u3001\u78c1\u5834\u3092\u751f\u6210\u3057\u307e\u3059\u3002\u3053\u306e\u78c1\u5834\u306f\u3001\u78c1\u6c17\u570f\u3068\u547c\u3070\u308c\u308b\u96fb\u6c17\u7684\u306b\u5e2f\u96fb\u3057\u305f\u5de8\u5927\u306a\u30ac\u30b9\u306e\u30d0\u30d6\u30eb\u3092\u4f5c\u308a\u51fa\u3057\u307e\u3059\u3002\u78c1\u6c17\u570f\u306f\u975e\u5e38\u306b\u5927\u304d\u304f\u3001\u5730\u7403\u306e\u591c\u7a7a\u306b\u898b\u3048\u308b\u6708\u306e\u5927\u304d\u3055\u3068\u540c\u3058\u306b\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As Jupiter spins \u2013 at a brisk rate of once every 10 hours \u2013 it drags its magnetic field around with it, which creates strong electric currents. Earth has a similar feature \u2013 a ring of charged particles called the Van Allen Belt \u2013 but at a much smaller scale. Because the charged particles in Jupiter\u2019s belt fly around extremely fast, this region is filled with radiation that can destroy a spacecraft.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u6728\u661f\u304c10\u6642\u9593\u306b1\u56de\u306e\u901f\u3044\u30b9\u30d4\u30fc\u30c9\u3067\u56de\u8ee2\u3059\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3001\u78c1\u529b\u7dda\u3092\u5468\u56f2\u306b\u5f15\u304d\u305a\u308a\u3001\u5f37\u3044\u96fb\u6d41\u3092\u4f5c\u308a\u51fa\u3057\u307e\u3059\u3002\u5730\u7403\u306b\u3082\u540c\u69d8\u306e &#8211;
