The Jovian Infrared Auroral Mapper (JIRAM), supplied by the Italian Space Agency, acquired some remarkable images of Jupiter at its north and south polar regions in infrared wavelengths.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u30b8\u30e5\u30ce\u30fc\u30ab\u30e0\u304c\u3001\u6728\u661f\u63a5\u8fd1\u4e2d\u306b\u30b9\u30ca\u30c3\u30d7\u64ae\u5f71\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u9593\u3001\u30b8\u30e5\u30ce\u30fc\u642d\u8f09\u306e8\u3064\u306e\u79d1\u5b66\u89b3\u6e2c\u88c5\u7f6e\u304c\u30c7\u30fc\u30bf\u3092\u53ce\u96c6\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u30a4\u30bf\u30ea\u30a2\u5b87\u5b99\u6a5f\u95a2\u304b\u3089\u4f9b\u7d66\u3055\u308c\u305f\u6728\u661f\u8d64\u5916\u30aa\u30fc\u30ed\u30e9\u30de\u30c3\u30d1\u30fc\uff08JIRAM\uff09\u306f\u3001\u8d64\u5916\u7dda\u6ce2\u9577\u3067\u6728\u661f\u306e\u5317\u6975\u3068\u5357\u6975\u57df\u3067\u5e7e\u3064\u304b\u306e\u9a5a\u304f\u3079\u304d\u753b\u50cf\u3092\u64ae\u5f71\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cJIRAM is getting under Jupiter\u2019s skin, giving us our first infrared close-ups of the planet,\u201d said Alberto Adriani, JIRAM co-investigator from Istituto di Astrofisica e Planetologia Spaziali, Rome. \u201cThese first infrared views of Jupiter\u2019s north and south poles are revealing warm and hot spots that have never been seen before. And while we knew that the first-ever infrared views of Jupiter&#8217;s south pole could reveal the planet&#8217;s southern aurora, we were amazed to see it for the first time. No other instruments, both from Earth or space, have been able to see the southern aurora. Now, with JIRAM, we see that it appears to be very bright and well-structured.
